On March 3, 2010, Star City held their regular bi-monthly club meeting at Famous Anthony’s on Williamson Road in
Roanoke. Roadhog called the meeting to order at 7:03pm.

CLUB MEETINGS:
Beginning Saturday April 3, Star City Club Meeting days will change.
We will meet on the first Saturday morning of every month for a breakfast meeting followed by a club ride and again on
the third Wednesday night of every month for a dinner meeting.

March 13: Monterey Maple Festival. Usually a cold ride, but a fun ride.

March 20: Officers Meeting in Lynchburg and Party at Cattle Annie’s for the rest of us.
April 10: Meet and Greet in Winchester. We will be making the final decision with head-counts and meals reservations
at our next meeting on March 17. This is a long day trip. We will need to leave Roanoke by 8am and will return close
to 6pm. Deadline to turn in advance money for your lunch there is March 20. If going, fill out the R.S.V.P. form on the

April 18 or 25: Car Wash date has been scheduled for April 18 with April 25th rain date. Please mark your calendars
and plan to participate in this annual club event. This car wash is going to be one of two we hold this season to benefit
St Jude and to attempt to hold on to Little Papa. Members are needed to wash cars
and to work the streets for donations. Please wear your Cruisin’ for a Cure T-Shirts for this event.
April 30 – May 2: North Carolina Spring Gathering in Asheboro. Star City tries to make this event every year. This is a
camping event. We usually have a chase vehicle for anyone choosing not to strap and haul his or her own supplies.
If you have not attended this event with the club, you may want to do so. This is one of the fun events of the riding
season. We always seem to have a good time in Asheboro. KSU Details: TBA
May 7-9: Poker Run in Delaware. This is a (Follow Scooter) event. This event calls for consensus of who will be
going. Promises to be a lot of fun, and a chance to ride to Delaware. KSU Details: Friday, 8am

- We did something different this meeting…
We had a Pop-Quiz – Open Mic Friday format where each member, in turn, talked about anything they wanted
to talk about. Some VERY GOOD IDEAS were heard and some EXCELLENT POINTS were made.
- Chief: Asked about training for new members, to go over club
hand-signals and formation riding skills, and it was decided that this coming Sunday, March 7th will be used as
our New Member Orientation & Formation Riding Course. Good time, also, for members to come out for a
refresher course. See details on the Calendar. (Thanks Chief…GREAT IDEA!)
Scooter: Spoke of the recent death of our SCRC sister in New York,
Pam Bock. We will all miss Pam. As a small remembrance to Pam, Grape has re-posted the link to the story of
Annoying Thing on the clubs News Page.
Scooter reminded us of the March 20th Officers Meeting in Lynchburg and Birthday Celebration to follow at
Cattle Annie’s. He also reminded us of the June 2010 Fun Run in Bedford and that there remains only 35
rooms. Book yours soon.
Jim (Big-Bird: Mentioned the National HOG Rally July 14-18 and he also had this flyer about the May 14-16

Grasshopper: Informed the club that the 90-day inactive rule has been changed. Members are now
allowed 6 full months of being inactive before being removed from the roster.
Cacky: Suggested that a New Members Picnic for the purpose of going over riding skills is a good idea.
Trooper: Shared his feelings on our clubs riding skills and how it was these demonstrated skills that helped
him decide to become a Star City member.
Groundhog: Mentioned that Danville is having an All Male Beauty Contest and Party on March 20th with

Weed: Says he’s taking it one day at a time. Weed plans to ride this Sunday! AWESOME DUDE!
